AGENDA
Illegal Arms Supply to NSAs with emphasis on
Middle-Eastern Conflict Zones
The illegal supply of arms to non-state actors has become a significant problem in the Middle East, exacerbated by conflicts in Gaza, Syria, Yemen, and more. This illicit trade fuels ongoing conflicts and perpetuates instability and violence. The lack of effective arms control mechanisms and international frameworks contributes to the problem. The Middle East has become a hub for illicit arms trafficking, with weapons sourced from various conflicts and regions. In the DISEC Committee, delegates are expected to construct solutions aimed at long-term sustainability and security in the region, addressing weak oversight mechanisms and the exploitation of vulnerabilities and conflicts.
